Susan has been a valuable support for me during a very difficult time. Having someone who understands the challenges faced by first responders and provide support in dealing with depression and PTSD is crucial. I highly recommend Susan to others seeking support and guidance in similar situations.

Trish Northcutt, MS, Intern

Trish holds a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from Ball State University and a Masters in School Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has worked in mental health at Pendleton Correctional Facility and New Castle Correctional Facility, and as a School Counselor in public education. Trish is currently employed as an INSOMM Counselor at Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility and is in the Clinical Mental Health program at IWU to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

While working in mental health both in corrections and education, Trish has developed a passion for working with those who experience trauma. She was struck by the apparent lack of resources for law enforcement and public safety members. In seeing the resources and support available to those who are incarcerated, she wants to be part of the support for our first responders who keep our communities safe. Trish has a deep desire to immerse herself in first responder culture to better understand the world they experience and how they experience it. Trish will be joining Frontline as a Clinical Mental Health Intern and be trained in EMDR and ART. She approaches each client holistically with the understanding that each individual experiences the world differently.
